Professional Service Engineer(s) - Eastern Europe

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide technical services for INIKS's customer Policy Management Solutions.
  • Services provided include initial system implementation, network integration, system provisioning, capacity analysis, special feature implementation, ATP creation and execution and other services as specified by the support contract and statement of work (SOW).
  • Service delivery activities include on-site and remote implementation of new systems, technical discussions and explanations of proposed solutions with customers, development of methods of procedure and other support as required by the customer.
  • Work with customers to ensure technical compatibility with third party products required for "turnkey" Policy implementations.
  • Create, maintain and execute detailed Methods of Procedures (MOP's), Completion Notices (CN's), project plans and schedules of activities and deliverables.

Minimum requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent,
  • Plus a minimum of 5+ years experience in implementation of large scale service provider network infrastructures,
  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent team oriented skills,
  • Excellent technical skills,
  • Ability to interpret and develop detailed network/system drawings as needed,
  • Complete understanding of data communications concepts of network architecture,
  • Knowledge/experience with the following LAN technologies: Ethernet (10/100/1000) 10G and switching knowledge,
  • Knowledge/experience with VPN, Routing Protocols (OSPF, RIP, NLSP, BGP, etc.),
  • Knowledge/experience with IP, network management, OSS systems Knowledge/experience with CATV, Wireless technologies, RF, voice, video, and data integration,
  • Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows XP Protocols and Standards: TCP/IP, SNMP,
  • Telecommunication skills: Diameter base ( RFC 3588) and any Diameter relating application - IMS Cx, Dx, Ro, Rf, Sh over TCP or SCTP or TLS over IPv4 or IPv6. CDMA, GSM, PCMM, DiffServ, IntServ, DOCSIS,
  • Applications: WWW/HTML tools, LDAP, RADIUS, Visio, Power Point After hours support duty is expected,
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills,
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with Field service experience in customer facing roles,
  • Ability to effectively deal with multiple activities and changing priorities and proven problem solving and organizational skills,
  • Perform under pressure in critical situations,
  • Willing to do domestic and international travel with up to 50% time and occasionally more often,
  • Strong oral and written communications skills,
  • Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate work status, risks and issues.

  • Flexible and willing to complete varied tasks to self-train on new features before training courses are developed and before all source documentation is available,
  • Ability to work independently and be a self starter in ambiguous project situations,
  • Work productively in environments with multiple activities and changing priorities,
  • Work effectively under pressure in a customer facing role in a tactful manner,
  • Very Good written and oral communication skills in primary language of hiring office,
  • Expert knowledge of telecom networks and network elements,
  • Excellent knowledge of Unix, Linux, Cisco networking, Wireless networks, SIP, LTE, COIP,
  • Self-sufficient and proficient domestic and international traveler. Travel up to 50% of time.
  • Education and Training:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience,
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the telecommunications industry with specialization in messaging systems preferable,
  • CCNA, CCNP or equivalent IP networking certification preferred.
